Astrology is the written transcript of our past life karmas. It tells about our past lives more than it predicts our future. Because our future is based not only on our past life deeds but also on our present karmas so in a way we can change our Kundli. But then again our greh or the planets and past life deeds will indirectly force us to behave in a certain way; it will create certain scenarios in which we are forced to act according to them. The only thing that we have sole control over is our will. Of course, God is the creator of everything, not even a single leaf can move without his command. He will create scenarios but we have free will as to how we want to act up in a particular situation. And the returns we get will always depend on our karmas. So in a way, we can change our destiny by changing our present karmas and deeds.

Adversity is the best teacher

What Karma has in store for you?

Saturn is a naturally Malefic Planet. In astrology, it represents discipline, hard work, commitment, sacrifice, maturity, karmic lessons, and responsibilities. Saturn is a karmic planet, and it delivers our past life karmas to us. It's the most misunderstood planet, most people fear Saturn, and they say it brings hardships in their lives. But in reality, the hardships are because of our own doings. Saturn not only delivers our karmas but also prepares us for those hard times. That's his way of making people learn and understand life in a more profound way. Saturn is a stern teacher; he will give you adversity in order to make you mature and responsible.

The gifts bestowed by Saturn have no bounds or ends.

The planet Saturn has the ability to give the native immense fame, knowledge, wealth, and satisfaction; even more than any other planet. You should first prove yourself to be deserving enough in the eyes of Saturn. He will put you through tests again and again till you come across successful. Saturn is like a neutral judge, without bias he will judge and punish bad deeds. Justice is above all for Shanidev.

Why your late twenties are the hardest?

Saturn return is the return of Saturn to the same zodiac sign as it was placed at the time of your birth. Say in your Lagna chart, Saturn is placed at 27 degrees in Capricorn (Makar rashi), then this means that your Saturn return will happen when Saturn comes in the sign of Capricorn again. Saturn is a slow-moving planet; it takes 2.5-3 years to transit through a single sign. Sometimes when it's retrograding, it might take even more time than that. So to complete a full revolution around zodiac signs and return in the same sign again it takes around 27-30 years. Transiting planets hold enormous significance in astrology. Whenever a planet transits over another planet then significant changes occur in the life of a person. When Saturn returns occurs then Saturn is transiting over your Saturn in birth horoscope, it brings lots of new events and lessons.

Saturn return breaks your ego, depending on the house in which it’s placed, it will break your ego related to that house. It will make you understand reality and change your perspective towards life. If you’re approaching the age of 27, you should definitely check the placement of Saturn in your Kundli as you’re going to have changes concerned with that house.

Living a life without passion is not living, it's merely existing.

Saturn makes you learn what you want to do in life. People suddenly start changing their jobs realizing they wanted to do something else. Many people change but many people don't. By 28 if you feel you want to do something, then do that because that’s what’s absolutely best for you. If your moon and or mercury is damaged, you might not be able to understand what your true calling is. Even if you'll know what your passion is, you won't be able to pursue it unless you do it physically and then you'll realize that this is something that gives you utmost satisfaction. There are some people who already know what their passion is, having good moon, sun, mercury placements, and when their Saturn returns they'll get more motivated to continue pursuing their passion. By the age of 59, you'll have your second Saturn Return. You'll be enriched with life's experience and will now want to share it with everyone. This is what Saturn does. It brings maturity and makes you a humble person.

Shani Sadhesati- 7.5 years phase of Saturn Transit

Saturn is a slow-moving planet, so, whenever it transits over a Zodiac Sign then the effects of its transits are felt on 3 adjacent zodiac signs, i.e. the sign in which Saturn is present along with one before and one after that sign. As the transit time is 2.5 years for a single zodiac sign so adding up, we get 7.5 years (2.5+2.5+2.5) that’s why it is called Sadhe Saati. For example, if your Moon Sign (Chandra Rashi) is Cancer, then your Shani Sadhe Sati will start when Saturn enters into Gemini and will remain till it leaves Leo (Gemini, Cancer, and Leo are 3 consecutive Zodiac Signs). Right now, Saturn is transiting over Capricorn i.e. Saturn is present in the zodiac sign of Capricorn so the Sadhe Sati is going on the zodiac signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius. During a lifetime of an individual, each person goes through at least 3 Sadhe Satis.

Note- The Moon Sign is taken into consideration whenever Sadhe Sati is calculated.

Moon is considered as the most sensitive planet. Whenever any Malefic Planet transits or approaches the Moon, there are serious effects on the mind as Moon represents the mind. Saturn is an enemy of the Moon, so their conjunction is always difficult.

Shani Dhaiya/ Shani Adhaiya/ Ashtak Shani/ Kantak Shani/ Small Panoti

Shani Dhaniya is the 2.5 years time period whenever Saturn is present in the 4th or 8th house as per the Moon Chart (Janam Chandra Rashi Chart). It is generally considered as bad luck or Panoti.

Effects/ Impact of Shani Sadhe Saati or Shani Dhaiya

This phase is generally troublesome. The native goes through a period of stress and mental tension. There is increased struggle due to challenges and hurdles. Apart from this, there can be physical ailments, material losses, and even disputes among family members. Saturn is a slow planet, therefore it slows down all the activities wherever it is present. Shani Sadhe Sati is like another test conducted by the planet Saturn. One should not indulge in violent and bad activities especially during this time period. Saturn will immediately punish all such deeds. So, always refrain from illegal activities. One should utilize this time to gain knowledge and pass this test in all seriousness. If one forgoes bad deeds, becomes responsible, and does his work diligently then as soon as the Saadhe Saati ends, the person feels like a changed person. There is gain of immense knowledge and important life lessons.

Whereas the Shani Sadhe Sati is the 7.5 years time period when Saturn is present close to the Moon Sign (Chandra Rashi). There are 9 Planets, 12 Zodiac signs, 27 Nakshatras * , and 12 houses in astrology.  As per Vedic Astrology, there are 7 planets and 2 shadow planets. Because astrology is considered from the point of view of Earth so Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn are considered planets.
